Grassroots Activists Look to Build on Recent Pro-Gun Momentum in Harrisburg
Pennsylvania gun owners are preparing for a critical week in Harrisburg as the State Senate returns to session and lawmakers face growing pressure to advance Constitutional Carry legislation.
With momentum building behind Second Amendment protections, PAGR is urging senators to bring Constitutional Carry (SB 357) up for a vote and move the legislation forward.

The renewed push comes on the heels of another significant victory for gun owners.
SB 822, legislation designed to strengthen Pennsylvania’s firearms preemption law and protect citizens from a confusing patchwork of local gun restrictions enacted by municipalities across the Commonwealth, recently passed out of the State Senate.
For Second Amendment supporters, the advancement of SB 822 demonstrates that sustained grassroots pressure can produce results in Harrisburg.
Now, PAGR is working to channel that same energy toward Constitutional Carry.
What SB 357 Would Do
SB 357 would restore the right of law-abiding Pennsylvanians to carry a firearm, openly or concealed, without first obtaining a government-issued permit.
Pennsylvanians’ right to self-defense should not be subject to application fees, bureaucratic delays, or government permission slips. Under Constitutional Carry, individuals who are legally eligible to possess a firearm would be able to carry without first obtaining a License to Carry Firearms, while existing permit systems would remain available for purposes such as reciprocity with other states.
Opposition Already Mobilizing
While the recent movement of SB 357 is encouraging, the Gun Control Lobby is actively working to kill this pro-gun measure.
Grassroots gun owners must make their voice heard over anti-gun activists and the gun-grabbing Bloomberg-funded lobbyists prowling the halls in Harrisburg.
If pro-gun patriots do not keep up the pressure, momentum to restore the Second Amendment could quickly stall.
Pressure Mounting on Senate Leadership
As senators return to the Capitol, PAGR is encouraging gun owners across Pennsylvania to contact their elected officials and demand action on SB 357.

With the legislative session underway and recent pro-gun successes energizing gun owners, the coming weeks are pivotal in determining whether Constitutional Carry passes out of the State Senate.
For Pennsylvania gun owners, the message is clear — continued grassroots activism is imperative if Constitutional Carry is to become law in the Commonwealth.
